If an employee works for someone who filed for bankruptcy, or for a company against who a liquidation decree was ordered, and he was still owed money then he may receive payment from the National Insurance Institute. The NII does not pay all monies owed but rather only for certain types of debts, such as unpaid salary and
severance pay, and only up to 103,675 nis (as of 1.1.10).
